A fossil ichthyosaur that was discovered on the Dorset coast in the 1980s has been discovered to be a totally new species. What’s more, it has been named Ichthyosaurus anningae after Lyme’s famous fossil hunter, Mary Anning. To read more about the ichthyosaur and to watch a video click on this link.
