Easter to November Monday to Saturday: 10.00-17.00, Sunday: 11.00-17.00
November to Easter Wednesday to Sunday 11.00-16.00  

  • Usually open daily in all school holidays throughout the year.
  • Special evening opening for groups can be arranged.

Visitors who are not be able to access the upper floors are welcome to enter free of charge with a companion/carer.

Accessibility

The museum is in a quirky Grade II listed building.  The ground floor and shop are accessible to people with limited mobility and wheelchair users but there is currently no lift.  There is a photographic display on the ground floor showing the upper galleries.

There are large print text folders in all the galleries.

How to get here

By Car/Parking

There are two large car parks to the West and East of Lyme Regis – Holmbush and Charmouth Road which cost just £1 for all day parking.  Both are 10 - 15 minutes walk from the museum (Charmouth Road is nearer).  There are smaller car parks in central Lyme Regis but these are often very crowded. There is no parking at the museum itself. 

By Bus

By Train

There are frequent services to Exeter St David's from Axminster, 10 minutes drive from Lyme. Direct trains go from Axminster to London Waterloo.

Connecting services are available at Exeter St Davids to Axminster from where you catch a bus to Lyme Regis. Visit National Rail Enquiries for further information.

By Coach
