Volunteers at Lyme Regis MuseumLyme Regis Museum depends on its team of volunteers who fulfil a wide variety of roles. These include: staffing the reception desk, maintenance of the building, IT, historical research, giving talks, helping with publicity, welcoming school groups, fundraising and documenting the collections.

In fact, there are so many things to do that there is bound to be something that suits you, and we have long-term roles or short-term projects to fit in with the time you have available.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering at the museum, you are very welcome to visit and meet the team. You don’t need to have any special knowledge or experience as we offer training and back-up wherever it’s needed. Free tea and coffee is always on offer, and usually biscuits as well! You will also be invited to our annual volunteers lunch. And we can boast one of the best views in Dorset!

For a no-obligation informal chat about how you might get involved, please contact the Curator, email: < or ring us on: 01297 444463.
