FIELD NOTES Creative Nature, Art and Writing Sessions for Wellbeing and Pleasure – 1

22 April @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

FIELD NOTES
Creative Nature, Art and Writing Sessions for Wellbeing and Pleasure

Tuesdays, 1-4pm

Explore shoreline, river and woodland in this new series of half-day workshops with Natural History Artist, James Winrow. Sessions will be paired – one week will be spent outside exploring, field sketching, note taking, gathering and observing. The following week will be spent inside the museum producing pieces based upon our collective field work.

Drawing inspiration from nature literature, natural history artists and nature itself, expect a gentle, playful mix of shared experience, artistic techniques and practice, reading, writing and encouragement to see and encounter the natural world more vividly. This course will help you to focus your attention and observe and sense the natural world around you with all the myriad benefits that it brings. You will come away with new knowledge, skills, friends and a revitalised connection with the natural world.

Art materials will be provided, though you are also welcome to bring your own. All abilities are welcome.
