‘Mary Anning in Cambridge; an unlikely friendship with Professor Adam Sedgwick’
A Talk by Natalia Jagielska
Mary Anning was an astute businesswoman, she knew the value of her findings and work and knew how to pitch it to her higher bidders, crossing social and class barriers. And nothing shows it better than her decade-spanning collaboration with Professor Adam Sedgwick of the University of Cambridge. How did Sedgwick know Mary? And how influential was Mary Anning to the development of palaeontology in Cambridge?
Come along and find out in this fascinating Talk by Museum Collections and Engagement Curator, Dr Natalia Jagielska.
