Yesterday at 2.30pm, we held an opening ceremony in the museum square with Tracy Chevalier and special guests Sylvia Oliver, our longest serving volunteer, and Anna Lovich who made the very first donation to the project.

The ceremony was a celebration of the reopening of Lyme Regis Museum and an opportunity to thank all those in the community who have worked tirelessly to make the new Mary Anning Wing extension a success.

Among those attending were the museum trustees, volunteers and staff as well as representatives from the local community who have all contributed to the successful completion of the project.

The museum reopens to the public on Monday 17 July 2017.
