Dear Friends and Supporters,

Dorset Council, who very generously provide £28,500 a year to our museum need to review their finances. Our grant, like the grants they make to many other charities is discretionary. Dorset Council doesn’t have to give us this much needed income.

Please can you follow the link and complete the on-line survey? Let Dorset Council know how much you value our museum and what we contribute to the people of Lyme, our tourist visitors and the Lyme economy. Most of all, please use the survey to promote our exceptional work making Lyme’s fantastic history accessible.

Dorset Council are in a very difficult position and have been long term very generous allies of our wonderful museum. We need to be positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about our lovely institution, standing as it does on the site of the home of Mary Anning, at the heart of the Jurassic Coast.

This is a discussion between friends, our colleagues at Dorset Council value what we do – so let’s remind them just how good we are!

Kind regards,

David Tucker
Director
