Join writer and performer Sarah Acton for a fascinating one day writing workshop delving into the ghost stories, legends and maritime myths of Lyme Regis
Working with objects, photographs and records from the Museum’s Maritime Gallery, you will consider multiple viewpoints, question what history presents to us and shift ideas and events into your own writing and retellings.
With discussion, readings and references to the famous literary writers who visited Lyme and images from the Museum archives, you will connect imagination and memory – experimenting on the page through all forms of writing,
This is a warm, fun and inspiring day of exploration for anyone interested in local history and storytelling, open to all levels and all genres in a friendly small group setting.
This workshop is part of ‘To the Sea’, Lyme Regis Museum’s exciting new artist residency programme funded by Arts Council England.
