With lots of interactive and touch objects and a state-of-art learning and education centre overlooking the sea, there is plenty for all the family to enjoy.
Ground Floor
The ground floor includes our Museum Shop featuring a range of locally sourced, eco-friendly cards, books and gifts.
Start your visit in the Ground Floor Gallery with exhibits on the history of Lyme Regis, including its rich maritime and social history. Learn about the fascinating people who lived, worked and visited Lyme.
First Floor
On the first floor of the Museum you will find our Geology Gallery with its celebrated fossils and find out about Lyme’s most famous Fossil Hunter Mary Anning, and the birth of Palaeontology.
You will also find our Writers’ Gallery where you can discover and learn about authors and artists connected to Lyme.
In the Mary Anning Wing on the First Floor, visit the Fine Foundation Education Centre and see the stunning view of Lyme Bay. Regular activities and talks are held in this space.
Second Floor
Take the stairs to the top floor of the Museum, to discover the history of the Lyme Regis Railway, Lyme at War and see exhibits from Working Life through the ages in Lyme. Here you will also find our Rotunda Gallery and a changing programme of contemporary Art Exhibitions.
