Seasonal Family Activities

There’s something for the whole family at Lyme Regis Museum! We run a range of activities over the holiday period, come and enjoy creative and crafty activities, walks* and talks linked to our exhibitions and collections.

Craft activities are FREE with your admission ticket and are drop-in sessions. Fossil Polishing is a drop-in session and is FREE with your admission ticket but there is a small charge for your chosen fossil.

*Fossil Walks take place daily when possible (depending on tides), to book your place click here. Entry to the Museum is included in the ticket price.

 

MAY HALF TERM ACTIVITIES

May 28th, 10am-4pm – Mary Anning Clay Workshop with Creative Clay for All (drop-in activity). FREE with admission.
May 29th, 11am – Town History Walk  Book online here

FOSSIL FESTIVAL – Saturday 14th/Sunday 15th June

Fossil Festival

FREE entry to Lyme Regis Museum on both days of the Festival.

Mary Anning Story Walks will be running from outside the Museum at the following times:

Saturday 14th June: 11am, 1pm & 3pm
Sunday 15th June: 11am, 1pm & 3pm

Walk with the great fossil hunter through the story of her life! Meet at Lyme Regis Museum, with a short walk to the Mary Anning Statue on Gun Cliff to hear her relive her ‘best bits’, from being struck by lightning as a baby to finding her first Ichthyosaur and astounding the learned scientists of her time. Show her your own fossil discoveries and compare adventures!

All ages welcome, statue visit weather permitting. No ticket required, FREE drop in event.
