Film Walks
Lyme has been featured in as many as 13 films between 1948 and the present day.
We’ll take you on an illustrated guided walk around town and show you where the scenes were filmed, how they transformed modern-day Lyme into the 18th & 19th Centuries Lyme of Jane Austen and the French Lieutenant’s Woman, as well 1940s fictional town Tormouth, and bits of Canada, Portsmouth, Isles of Scilly, and more, plus the odd anecdote of the about the filming, the actors and the crew.
The walk which finishes at the Cobb takes around 90 minutes.
