FESTIVE WREATH MAKING

Celebrate the start of the festive season with our Wreath-Making Workshop on Saturday 30th November here at Lyme Regis Museum.
Learn how to design and craft your very own beautiful Christmas wreath using seasonal foliage and decorations. No experience is needed, as our workshop leader Nick Stonex will guide you through every step, from arranging greenery to adding finishing touches.
Your ticket also includes festive refreshments of mince pies and mulled wine as well as entry to the Museum.
Whether you’re making a festive statement for your door or a hand-made gift, this workshop is perfect for all skill levels. Places are limited, so book early to secure your spot.

JANE AUSTEN: REGENCY STYLE & COLOUR
Illustration Workshop

Join us at Lyme Regis Museum for a special Regency-themed workshop honouring Jane Austen’s 250th birthday. Create your own beautiful bookmark – the perfect Christmas present – and explore illustrations inspired by Jane Austen and Regency fashion, which can also be turned into cards.
With guidance from artist, Alison Bowskill, design with pencils, pens, and watercolours… and don’t worry, no experience is needed, as drawings can be traced. Just bring your creativity and a love of Austen’s timeless world!

Botanical Drawing
One Day Workshop
31st January, 10am-4pm
Discover the art of observation in this one-day botanical drawing workshop with natural history artist James Winrow at Lyme Regis Museum.
Working from a rich selection of specimens – from wild and foraged plants to cultivated and domestic varieties – you’ll explore techniques for studying and drawing the intricate details of the natural world. Using charcoal and pencil as your primary mediums, you’ll also have the option to introduce colour into your work.
Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this workshop offers a chance to slow down, look closely, and capture the beauty of botanical forms with expert guidance.
