Fossil Polishing Session

Get hands-on with real fossils in our popular drop-in Fossil Polishing Session at Lyme Regis Museum. These relaxed, family-friendly activities give you the chance to polish a fossil and reveal the hidden patterns and details formed millions of years ago.

Guided by our friendly team, you’ll learn how fossils are preserved and why Lyme Regis is one of the world’s most important fossil locations. No previous experience is needed and all tools and materials are provided. Each participant takes home their own polished fossil as a unique souvenir of their visit.

There is a small charge for your chosen fossil. Drop in activity, Museum admission required.
