We are delighted to welcome author and fossil hunter Jodi Summers fron the American Natural History Museum on Saturday 5th September at 2pm for a talk entitled ‘That’s sedimentary, my dear Watson: How English ammonites impacted life as we know it’ and book signing based on her wonderful new book We Dig Ammonites: Fact, Folklore and History.

Published by Columbia University Press, We Dig Ammonites takes readers on a fascinating journey through the world of one of prehistory’s most iconic fossils. Ammonites thrived in Earth’s oceans for nearly 400 million years, branching into over 10,000 distinct species before vanishing at the end of the Cretaceous period  and Jodi brings their captivating story vividly to life, blending scientific curiosity with personal adventure across deserts, coastlines, mountain trails and museum collections around the world.
